Coolum Beach

Slept quite a bit yesterday – up at 1 am. Can’t seem to get turned around. Having a head cold is not helping. Enzo says I brought American germs with me to Australia.

Very nice little trip to Coolum Beach yesterday. Mum took us to where she walks by the beach. The vegetation looks so much like South Florida but the actual land is more like Oregon. 

Mr. Montegue (teacher at my school) and Chase (my student) would love the waves here. I gave up trying to count the surfers out there. One one side of the road is the ocean; on the other you see houses way up high – definitely not in Florida anymore.

Mary Little, you would be in hog heaven with the little strip of shops – we walked along them but didn’t go in.

We went to the bank to change our U.S. dollars to Aussie money…cost us close to $20 to do it. The Aussie’s have very pretty money…all colorful. My niece, Julia looked at our American money and said, “That would be so confusing with it all the same color.” J
